*Please note: All activities mentioned on the itinerary are suggestions. They are therefore included in this trip for you to explore Portugal at its best, but you are free to participate or not as you wish! You will also have free time to explore the region at your leisure. No prior experience or particular fitness level is required – everyone can enjoy this group trip to Portugal and we will do our best to ensure you have the best experience possible!
Your organized trip to Portugal begins upon your arrival at Lisbon airport where we will welcome you warmly! We will then head to our hotel in the heart of the city where we will drop off our suitcases.
If you feel like it, you can explore Lisbon with our tour leader who knows the city inside and out! Learn more about the rich history of this old European city and admire its typically European architecture before ending the evening with a first meal full of Portuguese flavors!
This morning, you can stretch your legs on a guided walking tour of the most beautiful corners of Lisbon! You will discover its districts rich in history and you may come face to face with one of the city’s guardians, the famous colorful peacocks of Saint-Georges Castle! Visiting Lisbon is definitely a must during any organized trip to Portugal.
In the afternoon, you will see the charming countryside of the Alentejo region while we travel to the Algarve. We will then be welcomed by our local hosts and guides in Lagos who will take us to their beautiful hostel in Sagres, the southernmost city of Portugal! Then, we will get to know each other a bit more during a first group dinner at our “home for the week”.

To explore Portugal properly, you must check out one of the country’s main attractions: the incredible cliffs of the Algarve! You will therefore have the chance to admire them from a unique point of view this morning during a sea kayak ride along the cliffs. If the sea conditions are good, you might even be able to explore the inside of a few caves!
Then, those who wish can take a quick swim before setting off in search of the best terrace where to have lunch and why not, a little drink if you feel like it!
The afternoon is free for those who wish to venture out on their own and at their own pace, but those who wish can also stay with our guides to discover the must-see attractions of Lagos, notably its old town, the Ponta de Piedade and the Dona Ana and Camilo beaches!
Finally, we guarantee you a spectacular sunset view directly from the cliffs before returning to our “home” to enjoy another tasty dinner together.

This morning, enjoy a free morning by exploring Sagres by bike, doing a bit of yoga or even taking a surfing lesson if you wish!
Then, at the end of the day, we will take you to visit one of Portugal’s hidden treasures: the Fisherman’s Trail, a path that runs along the entire coast between Sagres and Lisbon and which offers a breathtaking panorama. You will have the chance to take a leisurely stroll there while discovering its interesting flora, its hidden beaches and of course, its incredible cliffs sculpted by the sea. The colors of the sun at the end of the day will make the landscape even more spectacular! You will certainly keep these memories of your trip to Portugal close to your heart for a long time.
This hike is easy and the terrain is fairly flat with little elevation, so it is accessible to everyone. It is a round trip trail (and not a loop), so everyone can complete the portion of the hike they want.

It’s no secret, Portugal is very famous for its wine and today you will have the chance to visit a vineyard while learning more about this type of culture. Following this guided tour, you will be able to delight your taste buds with a tasting of the best local wines in an absolutely enchanting setting.
Then, we will explore the historic town of Silves and its pretty castle dominating the town.

The Algarve is full of beautiful landscapes, each one more unique than the last, and its beaches and seaside villages are no exception! We will first go near Benagil beach which is famous for its magnificent rock formation which forms an open-air cave. Those who wish can go directly to the cave by boat or paddle board (SUP) (optional activity, additional $). Although touristy, this activity is a “must” for many people who visit Portugal!
Next, we will spend time in the village of Carvoeiro and its beautiful beach. You can even take a short 1km hike (no elevation) along the seaside to get to a “surprise spot” for lunch!

Take advantage of this free day to do the activities of your choice! Sagres and the Algarve are full of options, each more exciting than the last. Whether you want to let yourself be carried away by the waves in a surf lesson, relax with a massage directly at the hostel or try the best ice creams in the area, we only have one advice for you: ENJOY!
A yoga class will also be offered to you and you will end the day admiring the sunset in an emblematic place of Portugal, the famous Cape Saint-Vincent.

This morning, you can do the activities of your choice and at your own pace before hitting the road towards Lisbon around midday. You will arrive in the capital late in the afternoon (around 3:30 p.m.). You will have the evening free to taste Portuguese specialties one last time, including the famous pastéis de nata! Don’t leave your organized trip to Portugal without having tasted it 😉
For those wishing to take a flight home this evening, please note that you will be back in town in Lisbon around 3:30 p.m. (but the bus can sometimes be delayed). That said, it is recommended that your flight does not depart before 9 p.m. tonight.

Being all three passionate about surfing (and certified surf instructors), they embody the chill and relaxed vibe of this sport. In addition to being friendly, they are outstanding hosts and will be happy to make your trip the most memorable possible!

LODGING
We carefully select all our accommodation to ensure comfort, safety and convenience during this organized trip to Portugal.
We will be staying in a beautiful hostel in Sagres which is located within walking distance of several beautiful beaches, including Tonel Beach and Mareta Beach. We will have the entire hostel for our group only. It has a fully equipped kitchen if you want to prepare a few meals, but the attentive and dedicated staff will prepare you a delicious meal made from fresh and tasty food every morning and evening. Finally, take advantage of the magnificent courtyard to relax, meditate or sunbathe in the hammock. This organized trip to Portugal will certainly be spent in relaxation and comfort!
FLEXIBLE BOOKING AND CANCELLATION CONDITIONS
- Reservation confirmed by a 50% deposit or full payment (balance due no later than 8 weeks before the trip).
- Payment methods accepted: bank transfer (e.g. Wise) and online payment by credit card.
- 3% of the total amount is non-refundable only for online credit card payments in case of cancellation for any reason.
- This group trip to Portugal is fully transferable to another person with no additional cost or penalty!
- If we have to cancel this trip to Portugal (e.g. if Portugal no longer admits entry to travelers), you will be refunded in full for payments by bank transfer (Wise). 3% of the total amount is non-refundable only for online payments by credit card in case of cancellation for any reason.
- All travelers must have travel insurance that covers at a minimum emergency medical care for the duration of the trip.
If you cancel your group trip to Portugal, here are the cancellation conditions:
- Cancellation until 120 days before the trip: No penalty! Payment made up to that dat will be refunded in full.*
- Cancellation between 119 and 90 days before the trip: Payment made up to that day will be refunded in full, except for a penalty of $300 CAD that you can use as a credit (valid for 2 years) for a future trip with Yulgo Travels.*
- Cancellation between 89 and 60 days before the trip: Payment made up to that day will be refunded in full, except for a penalty of $500 CAD that you can use as a credit (valid for 2 years) for a future trip with Yulgo Travels.*
- Cancellation less than 60 days from the trip: No refund or credit possible. However, you can transfer your place to another person without cost or penalty!
* In the case of refunds of a payment made online by credit card, 3% of the total amount will not be refunded in addition to the conditions mentioned above.
